Privacy Policy for SlideMaker

Welcome to SlideMaker ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website, application, and related services (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Last updated: May 14, 2026

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Data: We may collect your name, email address, account details, and onboarding responses if account features are enabled. This information is used to create and manage your account, personalize your workspace, and communicate with you.

1.2 Payment Information: If subscriptions or paid plans are added, payment information may be collected to process billing. We do not store full payment card details on our servers. Payments should be processed by trusted third-party providers such as Stripe.

1.3 Workspace Data: We collect content you create or upload on the Platform, including profiles, product descriptions, website links, app links, competitor references, content memory, hooks, scripts, captions, hashtags, carousel drafts, slide copy, schedules, export settings, uploaded images, and image source metadata.

1.4 Connected Account Data: If you connect TikTok or Instagram accounts, we may store platform account IDs, usernames, profile avatars, permission scopes, token expiry dates, connection status, and encrypted access or refresh tokens required to support scheduled publishing workflows.

1.5 Non-Personal Data: We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect non-personal information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, feature usage, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the Platform and user experience.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

We collect and use your data to provide, maintain, and improve SlideMaker; generate profile-aware carousel ideas; create slide copy, captions, hashtags, CTAs, and visual directions; recommend and organize background images; manage profiles, calendars, queues, approvals, exports, and integrations; provide customer support; and analyze usage to improve features and performance.

Profile data, content memory, keywords, hashtags, and competitor inspiration may be used as context for AI generation. Competitor data is used only for inspiration, positioning analysis, tone analysis, CTA analysis, audience understanding, and visual direction ideas. It should not be used to copy competitor wording or reproduce protected content.

3. AI Processing

Some features may send prompts, profile context, imported content, competitor summaries, uploaded text, generation settings, or carousel drafts to AI model providers in order to generate ideas, hooks, slide copy, captions, hashtags, image prompts, summaries, validation notes, and scheduling recommendations.

You should not upload sensitive personal data, confidential business information, private documents, or content you do not have permission to process unless you are comfortable with that information being used to provide AI-powered features.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers only as necessary to operate the Platform, including cloud infrastructure providers, AI model providers, analytics tools, payment processors, email providers, storage providers, and official social platform APIs.

Service providers are expected to process information only for the services they provide to us and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

5. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, or alteration. Connected-account tokens are encrypted server-side and are not intentionally exposed to the frontend.

However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Some workspace preferences, drafts, schedules, and profile settings may be stored locally in your browser to keep the product responsive. Clearing browser storage may remove locally saved workspace data.

6. Cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, improve performance, understand product usage, and personalize your experience.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the Platform may not function properly if cookies or local storage are disabled.

7. Images, References, and User Content

Uploaded images are treated as user-provided assets. Pinterest or reference images must only be used if you own them, have permission to use them, or are allowed to use them commercially.

We may store source URLs, creator names, board URLs, image page URLs, search queries, and license notes where available to help preserve attribution and source context. We do not claim Pinterest images are copyright-free.

8. Children's Privacy

SlideMaker is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, update, correct, export, restrict, or request deletion of your personal data.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the contact information provided below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we may notify you by email, in-app notice, or by updating the date on this page.

Continued use of the Platform after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
